My name is Miranda Ciquyaq Robb. I was born in Alaska but raised in northern Sweden. I graduated high school in Sweden and moved to Alaska shortly after. I live in Bethel, AK, with my husband, our daughter, and our pets. We live a subsistence lifestyle consisting of hunting, fishing, and gathering. We are selfless with our catch and keep the tradition of caring for our community by giving to those who cannot hunt or gather for themselves, keeping only what we need. I frequently spend time in nature and love living in rural Alaska.
I am passionate about art. I paint, draw, sew, and bead. I also play the piano and sing. I also love homemaking and enjoy creating cozy spaces for people to gather and have fellowship. I love to challenge myself. The most recent self-taught skill that I have taken on is taxidermy.
I also enjoy photography and photo editing. I have included a few samples of this below.
I work full-time for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation within the Quality Division as the Lean Transformation Director and have been with the organization for nearly ten years. I develop effective educational programs and valuable tools that empower employees. I aim to improve my business knowledge by understanding what characteristics support success.
I wish to stay in rural Alaska to continue helping my community in any way I can. I care deeply and passionately about the health and well-being of my community, and I want to create growth opportunities that support Native self-determination.
